  • 2025–2026 2024–2025 Applied Econometrics
Students: Master Monnaie, banque, finance, assurance
    Level: First Year
    Main professor: Laurine Martinoty
Hourly load: 18 hours each year per group (90 hours in total)
    Language: English
Description: The objective of this course is to master a set of statistical and econometric modeling tools that are useful for conducting high-quality empirical research in microeconometrics and other fields. Since most empirical econometric work is concerned with formulating economic policy, this course focuses on the estimation of causal effects. Unlike a pure econometrics course, this one is intended for practitioners rather than econometricians: it places more emphasis on the proper formulation of research questions and on practical applications, rather than on statistical techniques or theoretical proofs related to estimators. The tutorials provide an opportunity to put the methods studied into practice while becoming familiar with the R software.
